Software Defined Radio

Radiocomp is probably the only company in the world fully dedicated to developing commercial products and systems based on Software Defined Radio concepts.

SDR in principle means that any radio technology - such as WiMAX, UMTS, or 3GPP LTE - can be implemented on the same hardware platform.

The Radiocomp Remote Radio Head (RRH-series) is based on exactly this type of platform. The RRH-series is today fully compliant with mobile WiMAX as well as CPRI or OBSAI interface specifications for distributed base station systems.

In the near future the Radiocomp RRH hardware platform will support other cutting-edge mobile and wireless technologies, such as UMTS/HSPA, 3GPP LTE, and more.
