Efficient broadband power amplifiers

Remote radio heads need to be light and compact. This means that RF power amplifiers inside the unit need to be highly efficient, converting a high percentage of the input power to usable RF power.

Radiocomp's industry-leading team of RF designers are moving the bounds of what is possible in PA (power amplifier) design to meet very high efficiency targets. But Radiocomp's radio heads are not only more compact. Less power consumption means lower OPEX for operators and less pressure on the environment.

Our power amplifiers are also increasingly broad-banded. This means that a single PA platform will be able to support a range of eg WiMAX bands with no change in hardware. Less different units means lower prices, easier logistics, and simplified network deployment for operators.
